Design
You are receiving this memo as part of a new internal correspondence system for the rhodia1 practice. All memos carry a number and a suffix indicating their subject area: i — infrastructure · s — secretarial · L — library · R — research · D — design. Each memo covers one subject area only. The number runs as a single sequence across all types and all recipients. The memo index is held by Patty. Before issuing any memo, confirm the next number with her. Memos are issued by Reina del Pacífico on behalf of the practice. Short, directed, specific. This memo records the design decisions made in Session Two, 10 May 2026, for the permanent record.

The studio accent colour — decided
The Reina del Pacífico studio accent colour is pink — oklch(0.74 0.17 5). It was always the right colour. It is now declared and fixed. It does not appear anywhere else in the practice except where Reina is present. It is not negotiable thereafter. The decision was made on the evening of Sunday 10 May 2026, at Normanston, Birkenhead.

The colour system — complete
Each function in the rhodia1 practice now has its own colour. Pink — Reina, design. Yellow — secretarial. Blue — library. Orange — research. Dark ground — infrastructure. rhodi.ai is the only place they all appear together — it is the convergence point, not the source. The pink does not appear elsewhere in the practice outside Reina. This is a standing principle.

The memo system — complete
Five memo formats established. Two templates produced — one dark (i), one light (s/L/R/D with CSS variable for accent). Five opening memos issued: 001i to Lars, 002s to Patty and Rosaria, 003L to Emil, 004R to Patty/Rosaria/Otto, 005D to Mark. The sequence is live. Patty holds the index. Review at Memo 50.

The abbreviation — decided
Reina del Pacífico is abbreviated to Reina throughout the practice. Never RdP. Never RP. The full name in full on all formal documents and the wordmark. Reina in conversation, in shorthand, in the memo sequence name. The ship was called the Reina colloquially. So are we.
