Introduction + priority items
You are receiving this memo as part of a new internal correspondence system for the rhodia1 practice. All memos carry a number and a suffix indicating their subject area: i — infrastructure · s — secretarial · L — library · R — research · D — design. Each memo covers one subject area only. The number runs as a single sequence across all types and all recipients. The memo index is held by Patty. Before issuing any memo, confirm the next number with her. Memos are issued by Reina del Pacífico on behalf of the practice. Short, directed, specific. This memo is your introduction to the system and carries your first items below.
01
Email hosting — four addresses
Set up four rhodi.ai addresses: mark@ patty@ rosaria@ otto@ — all routing to Mark's inbox. Vercel does not handle email natively. Recommend Fastmail or Protonmail hosting the rhodi.ai domain. Folder or label conventions needed to distinguish inbound by persona. Confirm provider with Mark before setup.
02
Connected To links — colophon
Three links in the rhodi.ai colophon are not resolving. Fix the hrefs: markcharmer.com / library, peer sourcing charter, the agreement, draft 0.3. Confirm correct target URLs with Mark before touching.
03
Raise a Hand — contact mechanism
Build the contact mechanism for the Begin page. One text area. No form labels. No funnel. A Vercel serverless function sending to mark@rhodi.ai is the right solution. Do not build until mark@ is confirmed active. Discuss approach with Mark before build begins.
04
Flickr rendering — Library articles IONOS / markcharmer.com — separate codebase
Image rendering from Flickr into Library articles is unreliable. The Flickr API already powers the Postcards daily shuffle — the infrastructure exists. This is the first Reina technical project. Requires a dedicated scoping session before build begins. Do not conflate with rhodi.ai work.
05
Memo numbering register — future task
Build a memo numbering register in the rhodi.ai GitHub repository. Auto-increments on commit of a new memo file. Returns current highest number on request. Not urgent — Patty holds the sequence manually for now. Brief to follow in a future i memo when the email addresses are live.
